Students and alumna read persona poetry in bookstore

[Video] SIUE College of Arts and Sciences students personified a number of different items this past Thursday in the Morris University Center bookstore. The students read from a new anthology published in February that Stacey Brown, assistant professor of English language and literature, co-edited with Oliver de la Paz. The anthology, entitled  ‘A Face to Meet the Faces: an Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry,’ spans a broad spectrum of personas with 204 different poems from different perspectives.

Below are several videos of the students reading as a knife, vodka, a woman as a man, a man as a woman, a waitress, The Hulk, and several other personas.
