Klorer invited to speak at Korean Art Therapy conference

Professor of Art and Design Patricia “Gussie” Klorer was invited to serve as a keynote speaker at a Korean Art Therapy Association two-day workshop in Gyeongju, Korea.

Klorer’s address was titled “Expressive Therapy with Severely Maltreated Children: Neuroscience Contributions.”

Around 280 Korean art therapists attended the workshop which covered a range of topics related to abused and traumatized children.

Klorer is also the director of the Graduate Art Therapy Counseling program at SIUE and specializes in work related to severely maltreated children.

She is the author of “Expressive Therapy with Troubled Children.”

Since attending the conference, Klorer is published in the Korean language.
