The media outlets of SIUE’s College of Arts and Sciences

No one can say that SIUE’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is not reaching out the the local community.  In the past year, under the direction of Aldemaro Romero, Dean of CAS, three new media outlets have been added to the arsenal, This Week In CAS (TWIC), Segue, and College Talk.

These new outlets provide three different tools for the outside world to get to know CAS.

TWIC is a weekly online publication, focusing on sharing the talents and academic endeavors of CAS faculty. This summer, in keeping up with technology, an Iphone app was developed for TWIC with an Android app in progress.

Segue is a weekly radio show, airing on WSIE, 88.7 FM every Sunday morning from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.  Segue is hosted by Romero, focusing on the lives of CAS faculty, in and out of the academy.

College Talk is a newspaper column featured in the Edwardsville Intelligencer.  The column is based on the Sunday interviews from Segue.

These three outlets offer CAS faculty and the local community a variety if methods to get to know what SIUE has to offer to students and the community.
